The grade takes into account key factors of a location, including school ratings, crime rates, housing, employment, community, and things to do, in an attempt to measure the overall quality of an area.Pasadena was ranked as #29 with an overall Niche rating of A+ among 100 cities ranked. In the Things to Do Grade, which carried the highest percentage of 20 percent among the criteria, Pasadena was ranked #9.A description on the site says Pasadena is “the primary cultural center of the San Gabriel Valley.”“Visit the Rose Bowl Stadium any time of year for a concert or football game, or browse the endless maze of vendors at the world famous Rose Bowl Flea Market. Visit the Norton Simon Museum to admire their collection of European paintings and sculptures from the 14thcentury through the 20th century, or stroll through the Asia Pacific Museum to view over 15,000 examples of art and antiques from across Asia and the Pacific Islands. Promenade through historic Old Pasadena any time of day for its excellent collection of eateries, shopping, and nightclubs.
