April 13, 2018 SAN DIEGO (KUSI) — A fire that erupted Friday in the garage of a Bay Ho-area home caused an estimated $200,000 worth of damage and left two firefighters with superficial injuries.The blaze in the 3700 block of Balboa Terrace was reported about 10:45 a.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.It took crews about 40 minutes to fully extinguish the flames, which spread into an attic space in the residence, SDFRD spokeswoman Monica Munoz said.Two firefighters suffered “very minor” burns to their ears while dousing the blaze, Munoz said. They were treated at a hospital and were expected to return to work later in the day.The fire caused about $150,000 worth structural damage and destroyed contents valued at roughly $50,000, according to Munoz.The cause of the blaze remained under investigation this afternoon. The remaining two-thirds had scores that ranged from mild depression to no symptoms. According to police, the miscreants had been keeping a watch on the victim for the past few days and they were well aware of the route he used to take to reach home. The investigating officer also interrogated some of the locals. They also spoke to the victim’s family members to know if he had received any threat call in the past few days.
