It’s a popular pick.Adrian Martinez, a four-star true freshman, has been named QB1 for the Huskers’ season opener Week 1. Nebraska is set to host Akron in Lincoln, Neb.The choice of Martinez is not that surprising, but the true freshman quarterback was in a heavy competition with Tristan Gebbia, another former four-star recruit.Martinez was arguably the biggest recruit of Frost’s initial 2018 recruiting class at Nebraska.
